In order to strengthen our engineering team we are looking to hire a Cell Design Specialist, based Maranello (Italy). In this position, you will be part of dedicated Cell team in order to support battery development activities, and to develop and implement new vehicle projects across our GT (Grand Turismo) lines.
As part of the team, you will be involved in Cell design, simulations starting from a desired performance target. You will be working development steps, and your responsibilities include the choice of active material and cell internal design parameters. And last, but not least, you will also participate of the integration of next generation Cell technology in automotive applications by scouting suitable technical solutions, cooperating with research institutes, with start-ups as well as potential other suppliers and partners.
Required profile In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Sciences. And you will have gained at least 5 years’ dedicated experience in Li-ion Cell design and applications. As a result we can expect you to be well aware of Cell technologies, materials and the potential future developments in this technology.
From a technical skills point of view, we expect you to bring strong knowledge on existing SSB cell technology, the materials involved and cell design parameters and formulation, as well as their impact on Cell performance. In this role, knowledge on Matlab, Cell functional, ageing and dis-functional mechanisms is a clear advantage.

Since you will interact with foreign countries, fluent English (written and spoken) is a must-have, and Italian language skills are an advantage. The role is based in Maranello (Italy) and travel to international locations may be required at times.
