The Spring Training Department plans, manages, and oversees the operations and facility of the San Francisco Giants Spring Training in Scottsdale, Arizona. We have the unique opportunity to collaborate across all departments on the business and baseball side. This particular position will support the operations team across a myriad of tasks and events. About the Role:

The San Francisco Giants are looking for a part-time Day of Game Staff Member from February-March, 2023, where you will have the unique opportunity to be an ambassador of the San Francisco Giants Organization and provide excellent customer service to all external and internal customers during Giants Spring Training. You’ll work closely with the Giants Ticket Office and Spring Training Operations team. You will be expected to proactively greet and assist guests and be attentive and actively listen in every interaction with guests and teammates. The ideal candidate will have an ability to work well in a team environment, have a positive attitude, and passion for customer service. This role reports to the Spring Training Operations Manager. This position will be located at Scottsdale Stadium at 7408 E. Osborn Road in Scottsdale, Arizona.

  • You will provide assistance with ticket and customer service issues as they arrive

  • You will monitor areas assigned and ensure the safety of all guests and employees, and be prepared to assist effectively and efficiently should an emergency situation (lost or found child, medical issues, foul ball) arise

  • You will have an eye for safety and safeguard guests, employees, Scottsdale Stadium, and surrounding premises by ensuring proper security protocols are being followed

  • You will work on the guest services or security team and depending on specifically assigned location you will:

    • Scan game tickets and check ticket validity for entry, direct guests to seating locations or desired location within the ballpark

    • Process guest quickly and efficiently through magnetometers, using a hand wand when necessary and ensure that unauthorized personal and guest do not access restricted areas in Scottsdale Stadium

  • You are a team player and ready to jump in and help with other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and passion for customer service

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk up and down stairs easily

  • Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, such as early morning, weekday afternoons, nights, and weekends

  • Comfortable with conflict resolution and problem-solving

  • Comfortable with technology such as computers, smartphones or tablets, ticket-scanning devices, radios, etc.
