About the Role:

The San Francisco Giants are looking for a Manager, Communications who will have the unique opportunity to develop, execute and manage both key business and internal messages. You’ll work closely with Ticket Sales & Services, Marketing and Community Relations to deliver consistent, proactive and engaging communication that ties into the company’s goal to build a strong and successful baseball club and grow our fan base and roots in the community. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to communicate, write, edit, plan, organize and project manage. This role reports to the Senior Director, Business & Internal Communications. This position will be located in our beautiful ballpark headquarters at 24 Willie Mays Plaza in San Francisco.

  • You are passionate about information sharing, internal/external communication, email marketing and customer engagement

  • You will partner with various internal departments to develop their business communications strategy to enhance brand awareness and build customer satisfaction

  • You will serve as a contributing writer for business communications (e.g. press releases, key messages, ticket offers, responses to fan inquiries, etc.) and editor to guarantee all content is publication-ready

  • You will attend Communications, Ticket Sales & Services and Marketing meetings to have a thorough understanding of initiatives, needs and timelines

  • You will act as a bridge between internal departments to ensure that communication style and cadence is consistent

  • You will ensure timely communication in relation to recent events, offers and news and deploy talking points as needed for employees

  • You will collaborate with multiple internal departments to initiate and facilitate communication projects

  • You will pursue feedback on process, format and cadence and maintain records of completed work for future reference

  • You will provide internal audiences visibility into external business communications


  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques

  • Two-three years of experience in a similar role

  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

  • A keen sense of ownership, drive, and willingness to get work done and done well

  • Success in driving and maintaining relationships with internal partners
