We are looking for a committed, full-time Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coach.


  • Develop and implement holistic performance enhancement programs for the San Diego Padres players at the minor league level under the San Diego Padres Strength & Conditioning system and protocols.

  • Lead and oversee daily movement preparation program and team stretch/dynamic warm-up to prepare athletes for training sessions and competition.

  • Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

  • Assist medical staff as needed.

  • Integrate with on-field staff to improve players’ movement patterns and efficiencies.

  • Participate in continuing education opportunities and promote a progressive culture through a growth mindset.

  • Reinforce the organization’s initiatives in terms of strategy, day-to-day operations, organizational culture, employee expectation and performance reviews.

  • Assigned to a Padres minor league affiliate for the minor league baseball season and will be assigned to various off-season camps, including spring training in Peoria, AZ, as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in exercise science-related field.

  • CSCS certification through NSCA required.

  • CPR/AED certification required.

  • Experience in Strength & Conditioning program in collegiate or professional sports, or high-level private group training setting preferred.

  • Valid Driver’s License is required.

  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, excel spreadsheets, and presentation software (Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).

  • Possess high degree of discretion, integrity, professionalism, and accountability.

  • Consistent, punctual, and regular attendance.

  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.

  • Able to travel as needed.

  • Bilingual or proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred.

  • Minimum physical requirements: able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the facility for prolonged periods of time; able to lift and transport up to 50 pounds

  • As a condition of employment, the job candidate(s) must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment background check, drug screen and provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination plus booster.
