We are looking for a committed, full-time Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coach.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement holistic performance enhancement programs for the San Diego Padres players at the minor league level under the San Diego Padres Strength & Conditioning system and protocols.
Lead and oversee daily movement preparation program and team stretch/dynamic warm-up to prepare athletes for training sessions and competition.
Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Assist medical staff as needed.
Integrate with on-field staff to improve players’ movement patterns and efficiencies.
Participate in continuing education opportunities and promote a progressive culture through a growth mindset.
Reinforce the organization’s initiatives in terms of strategy, day-to-day operations, organizational culture, employee expectation and performance reviews.
Assigned to a Padres minor league affiliate for the minor league baseball season and will be assigned to various off-season camps, including spring training in Peoria, AZ, as needed.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in exercise science-related field.
CSCS certification through NSCA required.
CPR/AED certification required.
Experience in Strength & Conditioning program in collegiate or professional sports, or high-level private group training setting preferred.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, excel spreadsheets, and presentation software (Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
Possess high degree of discretion, integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
Consistent, punctual, and regular attendance.
Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
Able to travel as needed.
Bilingual or proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred.
Minimum physical requirements: able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the facility for prolonged periods of time; able to lift and transport up to 50 pounds
