The Portland Timbers Accounting intern will work 15-20 hours per week and will be responsible for assisting with basic accounting functions. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, has a strong work ethic, and has excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Assist with accounts payable – entering and paying bills in Netsuite
Collect bank details for ACH payments and call to confirm as a fraud measure
Assist in processing credit card and expense reports for staff across the organization
Take on special projects as directed
Help with clerical work, such data collection and entry
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
College student pursuing, or recent college graduate with, accounting degree
Basic accounting knowledge; understanding of debits and credits, and journal entries
Ability to work independently and be a team player
Ability to work in person at Providence park required
Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications and Netsuite a plus
