The Sports and Entertainment Services is seeking to hire a Traffic Support Cashier who will report to the Team Lead/Manager. The Traffic Support Cashier will be responsible for obtaining parking fees, passes, have knowledge of parking credentials, to assist guests attain appropriate access and egress for parking for meetings, business, and events. Provide quality customer service to the parking public.

What You Will Do:

  • Collect fees

  • Provide customer service – answer questions, provide information

  • Prepare cashier reports, document all transactions

  • Follow special event ticket handling procedures

  • Good cash handling skills

  • Must have a mathematical aptitude to ensure accurate & complete parking fee transactions

  • Must possess money handling and change-making skills.

  • Be able to maintain flexibility in work schedule to meet organizational needs.

  • Other duties as assigned

What We Need from Our Cashier:

  • Experience in cash handling.

  • Demonstrate skills in customer relations, communications and problem solving.

  • Calculate mathematical computations and handle cash transactions rapidly and accurately.

  • Communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.

  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

  • Resolve problems, address complaints as they arise, work effectively and appropriately under pressure and produce accurate results.

  • Operate calculators and standard office equipment as needed

Experience / Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Cash handling experience (preferred)

What You Can Expect:

  • Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, some holidays and some overtime to meet business needs.

  • Irregular schedule with a combination of day, evening and/or night shifts

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions

  • Ability to lift and stage equipment as required

  • The ability to communicate and hear via two-way radio.

  • The ability to recognize parking passes based on colors and numbers.

  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned

  • Work outdoors, exposed to extreme heat, cold and/or other environmental elements

  • Ability to Read, Write and Speak in English
