We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Engineer Level I with the Engineering Department. This position will be responsible for supporting all scheduled arena events through the maintenance of arena equipment and life safety systems. Additionally, duties include evaluating and troubleshooting problems, performing repairs & preventive maintenance, and initiating viable long-term corrective measures. This role will have understanding of general maintenance activities and repairs, and they will work towards developing proficiency in multiple trades’ skill sets, including but not limited to painting, carpentry, plumbing, welding, HVAC, refrigeration, and high & low voltage electrical.

What Will You Do:

  • Evaluate, prioritize, and complete assigned work orders

  • Shall collaborate with peers and departmental leadership in the execution of scheduled work projects and building preventative maintenance tasks

  • Contribute to the determination and requisition of materials, parts, and components required for work order or project completion

  • Accurately and consistently documents maintenance tasks and repairs

  • Adheres to all policies, procedures, and guidelines

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance

What We Need From Our Engineer Level I:

  • A basic knowledge of most Building systems: Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Fire Protection, Building/Energy Management Systems and safe working techniques and procedures

  • Good communication, organization, interpersonal and time management skills

  • Proven ability to complete maintenance work tasks as assigned

  • Basic proficiency in use of computer

  • Exemplify sound organizational, coordinating, and personal interface skills

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience/ Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in the successful performance of maintenance duties as a skilled technician in: carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance/repair of building maintenance

  • Previous experience in large, multiuse facility preferred

  • Plumbing, Electrical, and/or Welding Trades Certification preferred

  • Experience and knowledge in operation with current OSHA standards
