We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Director of Business Operations with the Phoenix Mercury Department. This position will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of all aspects of Phoenix Mercury business operations on a day-to-day basis. The position is responsible for providing support to the president of business operations in the areas of revenue generation, brand development and community impact. The role will assist in the planning of events, activations and initiatives related to revenue, brand, and community impact, and help handle meaningful metrics for the business team.

What Will You Do:
Author briefs/outlines for offseason and in-season activations for member events, revenue-generating events, community events, brand announcements, theme night activations, community initiatives
Attend all meetings with the President of Business Operations
Build meeting agendas as assigned
Develop, monitor, and assist revenue margins, operating expenses, and budgets in conjunction with the President of Business Operations.
Assist in sponsor prospecting and creation of sponsorship pitch decks
Lead planning of internal culture-focused initiatives: staff outings, milestone celebrations, office decoration, locker room branding
What We Need From Our Director:
High level proficiency of Microsoft Office
Team level /Sports Business Experience
Possess strong discernment. Able to view the business broadly and understand resource restraints placed on it by financial, team member, management, industry, sales, and other internal/external factors.
Leadership and revenue generation experience
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
Strong solid understanding and passion of WNBA industry
Marketing experience is a plus
