The Philadelphia Flyers are seeking a talented student who continually strives to exceed expectations, and has a strong understanding of various aspects of graphic design, including
(but not limited to) layout, hierarchy, typography, and other design skills. The Graphic Design Intern will be responsible for immersing themselves in the Flyers brand, and assisting the content team in all creative endeavors across all Flyers/Wings/Wells Fargo Center platforms. This position will enable our candidate to grow and learn exponentially in creative content and graphic design.
Assist the creative team with daily tasks -- such as creating digital and print-based graphics across Flyers/Wings/Wells Fargo Center platforms
Produce design assets to be used across Flyers/Wings/Wells Fargo Center platforms
Develop content for advertising and marketing
Design and edit material for print and digital content
Create graphics for various signage, logos, and promotional materials
Assist with ancillary events in and out of the arena when necessary
Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Must be a college junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or closely related field (The internship is PAID, however housing/transportation are the intern’s responsibility)
Strong understanding of layout, hierarchy, typography, and other graphic design skills required
Proficient skills using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
After Effects and InDesign experience is a plus
Must demonstrate strong creative skills from conceptualization to production
Experience across multiple mediums (print, digital, etc.) strongly preferred
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated communicator who follows direction and functions well in a dynamic environment
Prior experience and understanding of working within brand guidelines and style guides Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with different design formats for all digital platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc)
Must provide digital portfolio to be considered*
