This is a unique opportunity to work in the sport and entertainment industry as the Corporate

Partnerships Coordinator for the Belleville Senators Hockey Club, AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators.

The Senators' are looking for a creative and entrepreneurial individual to join our Corporate Partnerships team. The Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will need to be highly motivated, personable and innovative. They will report to the Senior Vice President of Business Operations, and must form strong working relationships with all members of the organization, particularly within the Marketing and Sales Departments. The successful candidate will have an interest in customer service and relationship building, with the ability to maintain an attention to detail across a number of ongoing projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The candidate will primarily be responsible for:

  • Focus on building a strong business portfolio that includes assets across our organization

  • Manage your own portfolio of accounts with minimal supervision

  • Actively prospect and develop new partnership opportunities that extend and accentuate this portfolio

  • Develop a strong understanding of partner business objectives and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide strategic opportunities to deliver upon these objectives

  • Create and present innovative, integrated promotional concepts that increase partner activation

  • Ensure all partnership obligations are fulfilled in a timely and appropriate fashion

  • Develop and present detailed end-of-season partnership fulfillment reports

  • Work within a team environment to build strong relationships supporting interdepartmental objectives

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and game nights as required

  • Other duties as assigned and agreed upon

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies:

  • University/College Degree in business administration, marketing or a related discipline

  • Up to 3 years of previous experience in business to business development (agency, client or property) with a preference given to candidates with previous corporate sponsorship sales and service experience.

  • A demonstrated interest in and affluence for sales and service within professional sports

  • Understanding of general partnership marketing principles and a mindset for strategic planning

  • Comfort within a results oriented atmosphere that includes over the telephone and in-person sales

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication as well as relationship management skills

  • Be self-directed and able to work independently with integrity

  • Effective organization and prioritization, with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing demands

  • A strong work ethic and desire to build a career in the professional sports industry
