A quick summary about the Live Entertainment Graduate Associate role:
The Live Entertainment Graduate Associate will assist in the development and execution of Live Event Production for Orlando Magic games and events, including Fan Fest, concourse & in-game promotions and activations.
What the Live Entertainment Graduate Associate will be responsible for:
Live Event Production:
Assist in the development and execution of Fan Fest and concourse entertainment including managing entertainment vendors, booking and coordinating activations (sponsored and non-sponsored) and creating experiential marketing spaces to engage and educate fans
Collaborate with the Global Partnerships team to develop partner activation solutions for FanFest, concourse, and in-game promotions
Assist in the planning and management of Group Sales, Business Strategy and Fan Experience inventory and gameday execution and fulfillment
Assist in the development and coordination of all Live Entertainment elements including, but not limited to, pregame and post-game activities, National Anthem and halftime performances, entertainment teams, mascot operations and appearances, video content development and mobile engagement programming
Research and implement new concepts and activations to enhance the game day experience including theme night content, in-arena promotions, sponsored elements, music, graphics, and video content
Develop scripts and production schedules for select productions
Provide stage manager and production support for outside events
General Office Duties:
Maintain and prepare all game night documents.
Assist the department with data entry, answering phones, copying, filing, faxing, meeting minutes and maintaining job lists.
Compile and gain insight from market research including Magic Memories, NBA Media Archive and online media. Distribute information to team.
All other duties as assigned.
What the Live Entertainment Graduate Associate needs to have:
Post Grad (recent college graduates within 24 months of graduation) or graduate-level college students required.
Degree in marketing and/or sports management preferred.
1-2 years of marketing or sports management experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other related computer skills required.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/projects and support multiple high level executive positions.
Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
Strong team synergy skills and ability to work collaboratively with others whom you have no direct authority over.
Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department.

Relocation and housing expenses are the responsibility of the Graduate Associate (Please note that while we have a hybrid work model, this does require you to live and work out of the Orlando, Florida area.)

Office Hours - M-F, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Based on role determines in office and remote working by the manager
Most Associates work all game nights (44 home games + playoffs and finals) including weekends and holidays
