ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the People & Culture business partner building effective relationships with all teammates at all levels to proactively identify and implement business solutions.

  • Together with the People team, deliver programs such as performance development, annual talent meetings, organizational development, employee engagement, compensation, and reward, including learning and development etc.

  • Collaborate with other members of the People team to facilitate recruitment of open positions.

  • Support the People department in implementing best practices and policies regarding staffing, onboarding, compensation, training, etc.

  • Act as a culture ambassador, bringing a high level of integrity and accountability to your role, while driving the Club’s strategic framework.

  • Visit OHP/Sylvan monthly, or more frequently when needed, to build relationships and support their team operations.

  • Partner and communicate closely with all members of the People team to ensure consistent employee experience and alignment on day-to-day and key projects.

  • Assist the Director with annual open enrollment process; including new hire enrollments, application, and claims records for all benefit plans; initiated and processes changes related to new hires, terminations, and qualifying events.

  • Collaborates with the Director of People and brokers to evaluate annual benefit plan changes.

  • Complies and analyzes people data identify trends and develop recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency of People programs.

  • Administer leaves and ADA accommodations.

  • Respond to employee inquiries timely on a variety of People related topics.

  • Perform and assist with audits and reporting as necessary (401K, EEO, DEO, Employment verifications, etc.

  • Identifies and recommends updates to software, systems, and procedures.

  • Provides People policy guidance and interpretation.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar level position. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent work experience required.

  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification Required.

  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes

  • Applicable knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, ACA and other employment law

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Bilingual skills are plus. (English/Spanish).

  • Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Sports, or fast-moving industry experience, are a plus.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, establishing appropriate professional boundaries, and using discretion in all matters.

  • Strong people skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to build trust.

  • Advanced written and oral communication skills required.

  • High level proficiency in MS Office suite, including Word, Power Point and Excel.

  • Ability to drive within the Orlando area weekly.

  • Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce HRIS is preferred along with learning and navigating general HR systems and reporting.
