The Senior Coordinator, Yankee Stadium Events position is responsible for sourcing, developing and closing on all possible sales leads related to non-baseball events both during the season and off season. This position will also coordinate client site visits, manage vendor relations and supervise events within the venue to meet contractual obligations while exceeding the highest quality customer service standards. Handling events of average to high complexity, this high guest contact position requires exceptional sales and service skills, an eye for detail, experience with planning and logistics, and an ability to remain calm and gracious under pressure.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Handles initial client contact with the events department including but not limited to vetting event inquiries and leads, client site visits, creating detailed sales proposals through booking of the event

  • Acts as client point of contact throughout event planning and execution process

  • Assists in creating event contracts and invoices

  • Tracks and processes all deposits and monies

  • Cross-functional collaboration with legal, finance, ticketing, stadium operations, etc. to fulfill all event needs

  • Assists clients with understanding and compliance of Stadium policies

  • Onsite presence at events demonstrating a continuous effort and commitment to provide a quality event and client experience

  • Creative problem-solving and client service

  • Answers the main department phone line, checks messages, and distributes accordingly

  • Compiles and distribute leads through the departmental email in-box

  • Coordinates Department’s internal needs for game day giveaways falling on event days

  • Assists with Department’s financial tracking and business reports

  • Assists Department in execution of Yankee Stadium Events Programs and large Stadium-wide events including the Pinstripe Bowl

  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience professionally coordinating a variety of events and activities at an event venue, convention center, hotel or other large public facility

  • Experience in both corporate and social events

  • Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • High level of client interaction requiring strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to problem solve with a positive outlook, exceptional attention-to-detail, and high level of organization

  • Job will require working nights and weekends, as well as ability to work in an outside stadium environment
