Who are we hiring?
The Senior Analyst, Commercial Strategy will be an integral part of the newly formed Commercial Strategy team. The group will be focused on defining and building MSG’s global partnership strategy across its portfolio of properties to deliver profitable growth of partnership revenues through insight-driven strategy & decision-making. Working closely with the Business Solutions team, sales team and account management team, the commercial strategy team will serve as the strategic backbone for Global Partnerships across all MSGS & MSGE properties to drive revenue growth and enhance client ROI / satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have worked in dynamic, start-up type environments in which they have responsibility for helping to define processes and workflows and producing deliverables for a variety of stakeholders. They will have experience identifying commercial opportunities across various verticals in the sport, media and entertainment landscape and utilizing data and analytics to create effective prospecting, asset / offering packaging and efficient sales operations. This person will be able to run analysis, develop presentations and recommendations for senior leadership.
What will you do?
Conduct market research using analytics and insights tools to identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities at the global, regional and category level
Identify, evaluate and prioritize key categories and prospects
Support creation of scored, MSG-wide prospect pipeline
Run insight-led approach to identifying, scoring and prioritizing prospects
Develop key contact database and network mapping
Create brand / prospect briefing documents
Produce sector / industry overviews and snapshot analyses
Support reporting and stakeholder communication plan
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
2-3 years management consulting, investment banking, private equity, sports / entertainment partnership or other related sales / strategy organizations
Outstanding quantitative, financial, research, modeling skills with ability to convert data into actionable insights / strategy
Adaptable, flexible, and self-motivated
Experience multitasking and working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Strong written, interpersonal and presentation skills
A team player willing to learn, grow and contribute to the team
