The Vice President, Ticket Sales & Service (VP) will build and manage a world-class Ticketing organization for the New York Mets reporting to the SVP, Ticketing and Premium Experience. They will be a sophisticated leader and revenue generator, with experience leveraging sales strategies and motivating sales and retention staffs to create a best-in-class fan experience. This VP will create a department and culture of proactive, outbound sales and service efforts to drive revenue and attendance for the club. Additionally, they will reimagine the current Ticketing Department strategies with the goal of creating a cutting-edge, industry leading sales and service team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop strategies and objectives for the Ticket Sales & Service department across all Sales and Member Services, in order to maximize member retention and significantly grow new business while ensuring high satisfaction among customers.
Assess existing resources, systems, and processes and identify opportunities to implement new best-in-class solutions to be able to create a truly world-class organization.
Recruit, build, lead, and develop a diverse and high-performing Ticket Sales and Service department establishing performance and accountability metrics that enable all employees to thrive in a manner consistent with the Mets values.
Create and implement sales/service training and development curriculum for Ticket Sales and Service staff.
Collaborate with Marketing, Strategy, and Ticket Ops leadership on cross-functional efforts related to Ticketing to drive growth
Provide input on product, pricing, and service strategy to drive top and bottom-line growth.
Establish and measure KPIs pertaining to attendance, revenue, pricing, and sales efforts.
Stay up to date with industry trends advancements, ensuring the New York Mets are at the forefront of the ticketing and member services industry.
Build a robust network of business leaders while generating significant growth in group ticketing buying clientele.
Create ongoing dialogue with both internal and external stakeholders and industry leaders to expand, promote, and strengthen the organization’s position within the industry.
Collaborate to develop and responsibly manage Ticket Sales and Service departmental budget(s).
Refine and improve Inside Sales team recruiting, hiring, training, and development processes.
Support and provide insights with leadership to evaluate new technologies and business intelligence solutions to create more efficiencies and drive output.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university
Minimum 10+ Years of experience managing sales and/or service teams
Experience working in sales with a professional sports team or college athletics preferred
Superior communication skills, collaborative with ability to develop strong relationships across multiple departments
Must be enthusiastic, creative and able to think both strategically and tactically
Ability to read & isolate data into reports
Ability to work in a dynamic, high paced environment while handling multiple tasks at one time
Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics
Strong customer service skills
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Internet applications and ticket related software

Salary Range:
$170,498.48 - $227,331.30
