The Mets Academy is training the next generation of baseball industry leaders through a proprietary program designed to accelerate your development and earn you a long-term place with our team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Immerse yourself in a rich, proprietary training program, learning all about management best practices, leadership development and what it really means to run a business around a baseball game (2-4 months)

  • Complete one 12-16 month rotation with the Mets: either in baseball or business operations

  • Train under Senior Leadership to develop core business and leadership competencies and earn diverse on-the-job experiences

  • Collaborate with and present to leaders who act as coaches and mentors throughout the program

  • Actively uphold Mets values by participating in our inclusive culture both inside the company and in the communities we serve

  • After completion of the rotational program, members of the Academy cohort will have the opportunity to place in a highly valued role within one of the Mets divisions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of work experience; advanced degree preferred (MBA, JD, PhD)

  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn

  • Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively

  • Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed

  • Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative

  • Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker

  • Understanding of business concepts/strategy

  • Strong work ethic: willingness to work non-traditional hours, particularly during the baseball season, including nights, weekends, and holidays
