The Manager will report to the Director of Transportation & Medical Services. They will support the parking operation and emergency medical services for all Baseball, Commuter and Mets Events. The ideal candidate will have experience supervising staff over large areas and multiple locations with excellent communication skills, cool head under pressure and troubleshooting and promptly addressing operational issues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee parking partner to ensure staff and staffing levels, operational plans, maintenance of property and revenue procedures are meeting standards.

  • Participate in Day of Game (DOG) NYPD parking and security meetings and all round tables, interagency and National Safety Act meetings.

  • Parking operation liaison between the NYM and NYPD to execute daily parking flows based on attendance levels.

  • Work with NYPD and Day of Game Command Post Parking Supervisor to communicate traffic flow changes using on ground observations and security cameras.

  • Oversee NYM Parking Supervisors to ensure they are engaging the guests, supporting parking partner’s staff, and NYPD with traffic flows while keeping with NYM Guest Experience standards during ingress and egress of parking lots.

  • Support Supervisor, Transportation & Medical, to ensure the medical partner(s) operation and staffing levels, medical equipment and rooms, and paperwork is meeting NYM, MLB and NYSDOH safety standards.

  • Oversee inspections required by NYSDMV, NYCDOT and Department of Consumer Affairs, pertaining to all areas and equipment for the parking operation and parking lots.

  • Perform all the above duties and responsibilities for Mets Events (ME) small and large scale events.

  • Perform all the above duties and responsibilities for events hosted by the Parks Department, USTA and US Open events in the National Tennis Center and Flushing Meadow Corona Park.

  • Work flexible hours with availability of nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military/law enforcement experience required

  • 3-5 years of supervisor or management experience preferred (e.g. military, law enforcement, parking lot or large venue/facility ideal)

  • Must possess leadership skills, substantial internal motivation and outstanding judgment

  • Professional demeanor, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills required

  • A working knowledge of MS Office software, with a strong emphasis on Excel preferred

  • Valid drivers license required
