Job Description:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive transport demand management plan (DMP) with the goal to meaningfully alter the current modal split of visitors to Citi Field and significantly increase mass transit usage

  • Serve as a liaison between NY Mets and transportation-related stakeholders, including MTA, LIRR, Metro North, NYCT, DOT, NYPD, Ride Share providers, and various transportation advocacy groups to identify and implement new programs and service models

  • Collaborate with employees in multiple divisions, including Mets Executive Leadership, Operations, Marketing, Sales and Data Analytics

Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of NYC and NY metropolitan transportation systems, including roadways and public transportation

  • Established relationships with key transportation agencies, ride share companies, and other stakeholder organizations

  • Ability to analyze complex data sets to reveal fan trends in transportation and parking choices and develop strategies to address any challenges

  • Proven success implementing complex project plans that required coordination across multiple parties

  • Knowledge of large-scale parking operations

  • Experience with major sports, entertainment and mixed-use developments a plus

    • Role will include research and case study development on operational, parking and transit precedents in stadium and arena projects regionally and nationally

  • Pragmatic and operational knowledge and strength in creative, strategic problem solving

  • Excellent communication skills, team-oriented attitude, ability to navigate within and provide support to existing organization structure

  • Ability to present complex data efficiently

  • In addition to traditional office hours, event day presence required

TDM plan will include, at a minimum:

  • Pick up and drop off plans coordinated with ride sharing providers

  • Parking operations and sales initiatives to support TDM goals

  • Identification of onsite and remote parking strategies for employees and fans, adaptable to large regular season games as well as post season

  • Improved transit service

  • Coordination with transportation agencies to improve fan experience

  • Build out data capabilities to allow the Mets to micro-target fans coming to games with customized content with information on mass transportation alternatives.

  • Planning for alternative modes, such as bikes, ferry, bus and micro transit from remote parking

  • Marketing to drive success and support fan experience
