The New York Mets are looking for a Director of IPTV Systems to manage and administer the IPTV displays at Citi Field.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the chief administrator of the IPTV systems at Citi Field, in charge of system management, maintenance, and troubleshooting

  • Work closely alongside the Technology group on new IPTV deployment, repairs and special projects

  • Oversee and train less experienced stakeholders in managing scheduling, including menu board item and pricing information and Corporate Partnership ad rotations and insertion

  • Manage a small IPTV team consisting of a Content Manager and Designer, serving as the team leader for the Organization

  • Alongside the IPTV Content Manager, assist in scheduling all IPTV displays for Mets offices during business hours and all events at Citi Field

  • Provide technical support for Mets offices during business hours and live events, including Mets home games, soccer games, concerts, and other non-baseball events as needed

  • Technical resource for other departments and business units as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in broadcast television, digital media, film, network engineering, or other A/V or IT related field preferred.

  • 7-10 years’ experience working in video production facilities, live television control rooms, or IT departments. Experience with IPTV systems a plus.

  • Proficient with content management systems (CMS) and large system management and deployment. Experience with Samsung MagicInfo a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator.

  • Strong knowledge of technical video elements including codecs, specs, aspect ratios, frame rates.

  • Experience working with IT-related tasks, including network configurations

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.

  • Experience troubleshooting in a live production environment.

  • Able to analyze problems, identify solutions and alternatives, assess consequences and implement recommendations.

  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Goal oriented, self-starter with strong work ethic.

  • Position requires non-standard working days and hours. Must be available to work most regular season home games plus any preseas on and postseason games or jewel events. Hours will include nights, weekends and holidays in addition to the regular work week. In addition, be available “on call” for troubleshooting during off hours as needed.

Physical Demands:

  • This position regularly requires sitting, standing and walking for long periods of time

  • This position might require some travel during the offseason and baseball season

Salary Range:

$116,153.10 - $154,870.80
