The New York Mets are looking for an Assistant Director of In-Game Operations to serve as the primary video director for non-Mets jewel events and maintain video control room systems at Citi Field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce and direct non-Mets jewel events a Citi Field, including NYCFC soccer. Serve as backup director for Mets games.

  • Work closely alongside the Mets Events group on AV needs for all non-Mets events, including production notes, creative assets, and equipment testing.

  • Manage and schedule AV techs for Mets Events. Ensure all AV needs are in place for techs to work on event day.

  • Manage a small team handling LED content scheduling and loading for Mets games, non-baseball events, and other business needs as needed. Assist in setting up and maintaining control room equipment for Mets games and non-Mets events.

  • Track in-game inventory for Mets games, maintaining asset status and coordinating with Corporate Partnerships team on activation and fulfillment.

  • Assist in setup for press conferences, player shoots, community events, and other non-game needs.

  • Technical resource for other departments and business units as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree in broadcast television, digital media, film, or other A/V related field preferred.

  • Five years’ experience directing in a live video control room. Live event directing experience a plus.

  • Proficient with video control room systems including CG/CMS systems like Ross Xpression, instant replay systems like Evertz Dreamcatcher, among others. Able to troubleshoot and fix problems on the fly in a live environment.

  • Strong knowledge of technical video elements including codecs, specs, aspect ratios, frame rates.

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator.

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.

  • Able to analyze problems, identify solutions and alternatives, assess consequences and implement recommendations.

  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Goal oriented, self-starter with strong work ethic.

  • Position requires non-standard working days and hours. Must be available to work all non-Mets jewel events, a select number of regular season Mets home games, and all postseason Mets games. Hours will include nights, weekends and holidays in addition to the regular work week.

Physical Demands:

  • This position regularly requires sitting, standing and walking for long periods of time

  • This position might require some travel during the offseason and baseball season

Salary Range:

$116,153.10 - $154,870.80
