The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Finance department and will support the planning and analysis of the New York Mets and its affiliates. The role will be a key contributor in analyzing financial performance and determining revenue and profit growth opportunities across the organization. This position will work closely with various departments and build strong relationships. They will be a champion to help identify best practices and key finance reporting metrics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecast

  • Perform account and department analysis, with a focus on the Marketing and Content Development business segment, and effectively communicate findings and observations to a broad audience

  • Utilize financial systems and tools to develop reports and analyze data

  • Support and engage various departments on key drivers that impact their business

  • Prepare and maintain various financial reports, KPIs, dashboards and other related information

  • Engage in ad-hoc financial analyses and projects, including special projects that are visible to the executive leadership team

  • Support the Financial Planning department from an administrative capacity


  • Minimum of 2 years of prior work experience or internship program

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

  • Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written settings

  • Detailed oriented with good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

  • Be considered a critical thinker that can apply professional skepticism as needed

  • 'Strong work ethic, results-oriented, and high standard of quality / performance

  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Prior experience or exposure to Workday, Adaptive Insights, or any ERP is a plus

  • Prior media / sports / entertainment experience is a plus
