About the Islanders and UBS Arena

The New York Islanders Hockey Club is one of the most iconic franchises in professional sports, with a deeply passionate and loyal fanbase. The 2022-23 season marks the 50th Anniversary of Islanders hockey, and we are commemorating our history to propel us forward. Isles Nation celebrates four consecutive Stanley Cups in the 1980s, numerous all-stars and hall of famers, a state-of-the-art arena, millions raised for charities in our communities, and much more. UBS Arena at Belmont Park is made for music and built for hockey. New York's newest premier entertainment and sports venue opened in November 2021 and has already welcomed numerous top artists, including Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone and more. The venue delivers an unmatched live entertainment experience, including clear sightlines and premier acoustics. UBS Arena achieved carbon neutrality for operations in Fall 2022, which makes it the first arena to do so on the eastern United States seaboard.

About the Role

The individual hired will work on partnership marketing and activation initiatives for the New York Islanders and UBS Arena. This position will support the day-to-day management of the partnership portfolio, managing all contractually obligated income (COI) of assigned accounts, including strategy and partnership execution. We are looking for hard-working, proactive, creative individuals with experience at a sports and entertainment property or agency.

While You’re Here, You Will:

  • Deliver best-in-class account management service by leading the planning and execution of sponsors’ contractual elements, including, but not limited to, traditional media assets, promotions, in-arena activation, hospitality, experiential, and community programs.

  • Use a variety of methods and resources to creatively engage with, and enhance partner relationships, while implementing industry knowledge and brand awareness to overcome challenges, create business opportunities, and exceed company objectives.

  • Assist in overall department revenue goals through current sponsor partnership renewals and upsell opportunities.

  • Work closely with internal departments (legal, finance, etc.) on partner needs.

  • Manage a team of 2-3 employees.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 10+ years of professional experience.

  • A lifelong passion for winning supported by an exceptional track record of results.

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with corporate clients and co-workers.

  • Creative problem solver with the ability to quickly understand brands/partners’ business models and how to grow their business.

  • Highly driven self-starter with ability to work independently and without supervision.

  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and evenings; must be able to work at home games and other non-gameday events.

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, KORE Software (or similar platform), and a myriad of third-party research.
