The New York Islanders Hockey Club is one of the most iconic franchises in professional sports with a deeply passionate and loyal fanbase. We’ve won four consecutive Stanley Cups in the early 1980s and are well on our way to add to that legacy. The next few years will be action-packed as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the team, reposition our brand, and prepare to reclaim the Stanley Cup.

How to Make the Team

We are hiring a Sr Analyst, Partnerships Strategy. You will work within the Strategy & Analytics team and will be a strong, actionable link cross-functionally. You will be responsible for delivering the research, analysis, reporting, and presentation of data required to support Corporate Partnerships and Digital. The Sr. Analyst will support these departments by growing current partnerships, developing new business for the Corporate Partnerships team, and identify trends and recommendations for content distribution and optimization. This position is remote (United States).

Show Us You Can

  • Manage the relationship with vendors (e.g., Legends, Nielsen, etc.) for Partner Impact Studies, Partnerships Media Valuation and tracking and provide insights as needed to the Corporate Partnerships team

  • Work closely with Corporate Partnerships team to help generate revenue opportunities through the development of new assets through proper white space analysis of assets in broadcast, in-arena and non-arena

  • Provide data that is accurate, congruent, contextualized, and actionable, and ensure information is easily available to users for direct consumption

  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis from multiple data sources, with the goal of understanding impact, reach, and return on objective & investment for corporate partners

  • Utilize internal and external research to build data visualizations that demonstrate overall partnership performance and critical benchmarking metrics

  • In conjunction with the Strategy & Analytics department perform ongoing inventory/rate card evaluation and pricing across all properties to set appropriate valuation of new & existing assets

  • Participate in translating findings into digestible and visually intuitive outputs through compelling analysis and storytelling to internal departments

  • Manage numerous projects across different departments and sustain open communication with the team/stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met

  • Assure the effectiveness of partnership programs by completing and assisting on ongoing, ad-hoc and year-end analysis or as requested by the Corporate Partnerships team

  • Lead all branded content reporting efforts to ensure all key KPIs are being met and uncover business opportunities that must be addressed through the design, development and maintenance of reports and dashboards

  • Work closely with Partnerships Marketing & Digital/Social Media team to help generate revenue opportunities through the development of new assets through proper white space analysis

  • Partner cross-functionally in the planning, execution and analysis of current and potential assets related to partnership program development and execution including Arena, Digital and Social Media, Ticketing, Community Relations.

  • Monitor and stay abreast on the latest tools and programs that develop the departmental data and analytical needs to properly support the development of partnership programming, reporting, and prospective client business analysis

  • Serve as a thought leader to help identify emerging trends that can help drive additional revenue for the Partnership or Digital teams

  • All other duties as assigned

Your Equipment

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Marketing Research, or Business-Related field required.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in partnership marketing, market research, consumer insights, or similar capacity at a brand or agency.

  • Very organized, detail-oriented, and proven ability to be proactive and self-motivated with success meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to demonstrate forward-thinking analytical skills to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue generation and program development.

  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to translate business objectives into effective analysis that solve business problems and provide actionable insights

  • Demonstrated experience in providing creative, influential and clear storylines for written, verbal, and visual communication of insights so less technical professionals can apply findings to their business needs

  • Ability to learn, unlearn, re-learn emerging technologies, and quickly adapt and thrive in a fast paced team-oriented environment.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work extended hours and flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
