The New Orleans Pelicans and New Orleans Saints Corporate Partnerships department embraces a consultative approach to partnership sales & management. The Manager of Partnership Strategy is responsible for helping to elevate our business and cementing the Pelicans & Saints as the number one marketing vehicle in professional sports.A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of brand marketing, ability to think creatively & strategically, and a passion for corporate partnerships. The Manager of Partnership Strategy works closely with other members of the department throughout the sales process for both prospects & current partners and helps to achieve brand goals through the development of integrated marketing platforms.

Responsibilities:

The essential function of this position is to assess what value we create for our corporate partners and potential partners, and how do we measure that value?

  • Ideate, conduct market research and analysis to build campaigns and business models that evaluate the return on investment for our corporate partners

  • Prepare and train the partnership sales team and partnership marketing team with findings; meet and present to clients as needed

  • Lead the development of all partnership sales collateral; working closely with the department’s graphic designer to bring materials such as sales decks, brochures, case studies, etc. to life

  • Work with partnership sales team to research, find storylines, and build strategy to surface the appropriate partner targets

  • Source, research, and negotiate and renew contracts with external measurement vendors (Relimetrics, Meltwater, and various other research partners) to understand the value of our partnerships

  • Understand and oversee CRM to ensure data is flowing into our warehouse; interface with the business intelligence team to ensure data accurate and is being funneled to appropriate places

  • Serve as liaison between corporate partnership teams and internal business intelligence team

  • Conduct revenue modeling and research on special projects for the organization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or financial/analytics field of study is preferred

  • 5-7 years of brand, sports agency and/or sports team experience, ideally a combination of partnership and sales, along with data and analytics

  • Prior experience with maintaining a CRM platform

  • Excellent communication skills and strong presentation capabilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work both independently and with employees from various internal departments

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and projects while working with many categories of clients

  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain organization while working across various deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
