Experienced in high volume, high quality preparation and production of hot and cold catered event foods. May involve cooking in public and interacting with clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare menu items from posted production lists
  • Cook and present menu items to specification
  • Adhere to food and work safety procedures and keep organized work area
  • Lead small groups to execute event foods
  • Work club concession stands and action stations as needed
  • Some roles may require strict confidentiality
  • Special projects and assignments as business dictates

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position may oversee small groups of cooks in preparation projects and event execution

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of upscale food preparation in high volume catering operation or restaurant
  • Culinary degree or certification preferred
  • Demonstrate ability in all cooking methods: Grilling to temperature, sautéing, roasting, braising, deep frying, poaching
  • Excellent attendance
  • Devoted learner

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Fast paced kitchen setting
  • The noise level in the WORK ENVIRONMENT is usually loud
