The Seasonal Part-time Copy Editor for LNH.com will be responsible for editing, translating, writing and overseeing French content in an effort to enhance the website.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translating content from the NHL.com English website to LNH.com

  • Writing short stories and breaking news for LNH.com

  • Editing copy translated and written by LNH.com writers and independent correspondents

  • Building stories in our content management system to post on LNH.com

  • Work with the LNH.com Managing Editor and other LNH.com copy editors to make sure content on LNH.com is programmed optimally

  • Translating and posting videos for LNH.com

  • Programming French editorial and video content across NHL social media platforms

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3+ years of professional experience in French-Canadian sports editing

  • Must be fluent in French and have a perfect command of written French

  • A strong understanding of hockey, the players, teams and content important to NHL fans

  • Ability to produce content that meets business goals and objectives for LNH.com

  • Willingness to work night and day shifts with a varying schedule, including working weekends and during all major NHL events

  • Must be able to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment

  • Exhibits great communication and organization with the ability to constantly prioritize tasks

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Knowledge of Photoshop, HTML, CSS a plus

  • Background in sports journalism a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Must be perfectly fluent in spoken and written French
