Responsible for working on
various areas of League Office Travel & Expenses including internal and exteneral communication as well as peforming accounting and reporting functions relating to Travel & Expense data
performing analysis and increasing the size of the NHL procurement program.
Maintain and record monthly Travel & Expense accruals
Analyze employee airfare for proper recording of expense
Process expense reports during high volume event season
Prepare weekly payment runs for T&E
Manage corporate credit card program, including employee card agreements, issuance of new cards, replacement cards, and cancellations
Reconcile corporate credit cards to insure proper submission of information on expense reports and payment
Serve as a key point of contact for travel-related inquiries and policy questions. Work with travel agencies to resolve travel-related problems/issues to ensure timely resolution for travelers.
Collaborate internally on supplier/service provider relationships to ensure established performance standards are met through KPIs and analytics, resolve dispute situations as needed, and monitor NHL League Office and NHL Club satisfaction with goods and/or services provided.
Assist with RFP process and analyze bids for procurement vendors that will create savings for NHL League Office as well as NHL Clubs.
Accounting or finance degree from a four-year college or university4+ years of relevant work experience
Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills.
Ability to take initiative on problem solving and effectively manage multiple assignments, priorities and deadlines in a timely, efficient and effective manner, with attention to detail and commitment to a quality work product.
Self-motivated and organized individual with strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and “get things done”.
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels within the organization.
Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and understand information and provide suggested solutions.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel including advanced formula knowledge
Experience with travel software (Concur Travel & Expense experience a plus)
Knowledge of creating and maintaining dashboards in Tableau
