Reporting to our Director of Security Architecture, the Sr. Manager of Cloud Security Engineering, will be responsible for functions including, but not limited to, cloud security engineering including automating cloud security controls, defining cloud security best practices, guidelines, and policies as well as identifying gaps in capabilities, evaluating new tools in cloud environments and working with senior leadership to define the NFL’s overall cloud security strategy.
The Sr. Manager, Cloud Security Engineering will function as a subject matter expert for securely deploying to the cloud, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and others. They will partner with other NFL security and IT leaders as well as other NFL partners to support the design, development, and deployment of secure cloud solutions by understanding the technical aspects and applying sound engineering knowledge across different cloud platforms.
Direct and influence multi-disciplinary teams in implementing and operating Cloud Security controls
Analyze and make recommendations for improvements to the cloud environments and associated services and configurations
Serve as the SME for security in cloud environments
Lead and guide the establishment of cloud security settings and policies
Define and develop security architectures for cloud cloud/hybrid systems
Employ cloud-based APIs for safeguarding cloud environments
Responsible for automating security controls using pertinent cloud constructs within each platform and developing runbooks and playbooks for documenting security controls
Provide guidance on secure configuration of systems and services on all cloud related projects
Identify risks and provide guidance regarding remediation of gaps to facilitate a hardened and sustainable cloud environment
Monitor and audit Cloud system and service changes
Lead all security efforts for integration of infrastructure and business solutions with cloud environments
Act as final level support to troubleshoot security-related issues that come up and are escalated to ISO for resolution
At least 3 years of experience with one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP) with practical experience with at least 2 providers
Prior experience with Cloud Posture Security Assessment tools
Experience in information security concepts, common technical security controls, and security design principles with at least 2 years of management experience
Experience with automation tools and DevSecOps concepts

Demonstrated experience w secure coding practices with a focus on scaling solutions for complex enterprises
Proven track record as a strong communicator both in written and oral presentations; capable of rapidly creating detailed, yet concise written reports
Must be able to interact effectively with personnel from all components of the NFL and Clubs
Strong analytical skills
Exceptional organizational skills
Travel domestically and internationally is required for this position. While frequency and duration of travel will vary throughout the year, applicants should anticipate approximately 25% travel.
Terms / Expected Hours of Work
NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.
Travel and weekend work may be required.
