The Senior Coordinator of Strategy and Planning will lead and support a variety of projects focused on driving growth for the NFL’s Sponsorship Management team. This role will be part of the strategy function within the larger Sponsorship group that oversees and executes League sponsorship deals and manages partner relationships.

This individual will play a critical role in driving the NFL’s long-term sponsorship strategy and serve as a thought partner to senior leaders throughout the organization. As a member of the sponsorship strategy team, you will work with league executives to identify and evaluate priority areas and opportunities to drive value for the NFL, its 32 clubs, players, fans, and brand partners.


  • Assist with the strategic planning process for key initiatives and projects to achieve Sponsorship’s business goals and overall league priorities

  • Assist with contract renewals by leading category analyses, helping to develop approach, and creating metrics to measure success of partnerships

  • Develop frameworks to help identify new sponsorship categories and partnership models, resulting in new business ideas and opportunities to grow relationships with current partners

  • Maintain a high level of industry knowledge and domain expertise relevant to the NFL’s sponsors; evaluate marketplace trends on an ongoing basis across industries, media platforms, and leagues, creating a repository of data and insights

  • Support key processes throughout the year including annual business planning and ownership committee updates

  • Execute financial modeling and scenario analysis for strategic decisions, gathering inputs from internal and external sources, as well as through primary and secondary research

  • Work closely with internal partners throughout the NFL on joint strategic initiatives

  • Serve as a link to other NFL departments to facilitate brainstorming / idea sharing on new opportunities

  • Support the asset development and management process, including maintaining database and inventory of existing and new potential assets

  • Assist with launch, administration, and maintenance of CRM system

  • Support upsell process for non-sponsorship partners across other departments (consumer products, media, vendors, etc.)

  • Preparation of presentation materials, spreadsheet analyses, memos, and other documents and media as needed to support business decisions

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2 - 3 years of corporate strategy, corporate development, corporate sponsorship, strategy consulting, business development, investment banking, private equity, startup, or related experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to story-tell and create compelling data-driven narratives to support business decisions

  • Ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial modeling

  • Exceptional problem structuring and strategic thinking skills

  • Experience driving cross-functional strategy projects and workstreams

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects with several deliverables under tight deadlines

  • Experience conducting in-depth industry, company, and consumer research

  • Experience with sports sponsorships
