The IT Business Relationship and Product Manager (BRM) works closely with business units and the IT technical teams align on a portfolio products and services delivered from IT to the business.

You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company and establish a strong relationship with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to find innovative solutions that are aligned with the organizations short-term and long-term objectives. You will work with the business and IT to define application objectives, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target use cases of the application. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, often alongside the business to better understand needs and align for the best results. You will manage the entire lifecycle of your products from planning to implementation to enhancements and support/issue resolution to retirement or replacement. The BRM works with project management, business analysts and technical counterparts to define product requirements, releases, and updates. You will also serve as the liaison to the vendor, establishing a business relationship with their customer success, support, and product teams.

A successful NFL IT BRM is aware of their portfolio’s strengths, weaknesses, risks, and opportunities and seeks to make the best use of NFL resources to address business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Program management or management level experience in IT

  • Information Technology experience across multiple IT disciplines managing complex cross functional projects with inter-related IT and Business requirements

  • Consulting with and communicating to business organizations and executives on technical solutions

  • Proven ability to develop effective relationships and to work at all levels of a company including senior and executive management

  • Experience working effectively across divisional lines in a complex, multi-site organization

  • Experience in leading technology change initiatives

  • Broad business knowledge, media, and sports business experience a plus

  • Experienced in product management lifecycles and understands best practices of software development and design

  • Experience managing IT vendors, service, and software

  • Experience in managing IT program finances

  • Experience reviewing and negotiating IT service and software provider contracts

  • Experience in leading large (7 figure) RFIs, RFPs

  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Takes ownership of individual and team effort and drives for results

  • Demonstrated ability to form constructive opinions and defend them

  • Strong organization and time management skills

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in the following areas of experience

  • Strong technical knowledge, business acumen and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of business process evaluation and selection of products, tools, services, and infrastructure components in line with an organization's business needs and architectural principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing a portfolio of business collaboration technology products and building custom workflows and integrations preferred (Box, Dropbox, Slack, Zoom, Basecamp and similar)

  • Experience managing Microsoft and related third party products including but not limited to O365 Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint preferred

  • Experience with ServiceNow a plus

  • Strong expectation management, influence, and conflict resolution skills

Travel

  • Potential Travel for Special Events\NFL Office locations

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.

  • May require off hours work

  • FLSA exempt
