Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships for NFL Canada, the Manager, Partnerships & Business Development is accountable for driving revenue generation opportunities through the development and sale of integrated sponsorship, marketing & media platforms for the league.
The role requires a motivated and experienced partnership sales agent with a solid understanding of the planning and prospecting process with a lens to the Canadian sponsorship industry. The ideal candidate will have a track record for corporate business relationship building, the creative development of marketing partnerships and net new revenue generation.

Research key category openings and through an organized approach seek out introductions and meetings with prospective clients
As a key member of the Corporate Partnerships team you will leverage available assets at NFL Canada to produce robust marketing programs and platforms
Liaise and collaborate with key internal stakeholders in both Canada and globally to vet and develop revenue generating opportunities
Work with our corporate partners, at a strategic business level, to identify key challenges and opportunities that the NFL can support on, to meet their business needs. This will be done in collaboration with other functional teams (marketing, fan centric marketing, consumer products, etc)
Creatively develop new sales platforms and opportunities to market to prospect companies
Work with partners to develop NFL centric content that meets partner and league objectives
Work with player relations to identify and recommend players for partner executions (content, virtual, in-person)
Work with partners on future measures of success and track throughout the season with account managers
Develop partner Case Studies to be leveraged in future pitches
Work with legal and other relevant NFL stakeholders to develop and manage contracts for new partners
Maintain management oversight over a select account territory to ensure that contractual obligations of the partnership are met.
Required Education and Experience
University or equivalent college diploma – marketing or business administration degree an asset
Experience working with a sports property or entertainment property in a business development capacity
A minimum of 5-7 years of progressively expanding sales experience in sponsorship/partnership activation or client account management in the marketing function is preferred.

Position requires some flexibility of travel during the NFL season (approximately 10% of the year). Valid Passport required. Nexus an asset but not required.
