The Director of Enterprise Architecture for People and Financial Applications is responsible for the overall architecture, data flow and strategy of NFL financial and human resource data and applications. This role will own the strategic vision and support of the NFL global instance of Oracle Cloud, including Human Capital Management (HCM), Financials (ERP), Enterprise Data Management (EDMCS), Analytics, and PaaS, as well as all NFL applications processing data owned by Oracle. The Director of Enterprise Architecture for People and Financial Applications is responsible for owning the overall environment strategy and product health and empowering the HRIS Technical Specialist and Financials Team Lead to continuously optimize use of applications to meet and exceed NFL leadership and business expectations and ensure the overall return on investment. This resource will own the technical product roadmaps and will communicate the state of the application and associated data flows to Executive Steering Committee members comprised of leaders / stakeholders within Information Technology, Human Resources and Finance.
Responsibilities
Own the overall product architecture and strategy for Oracle Cloud (HCM, Financials, EDMC, Analytics and PaaS) and associated NFL environment strategy and product health
Monitor and own the Oracle Cloud Integration (OCI) middleware platform, including the management of approximately 95 unique integrations into and out of the global Oracle instance
Serve as final reviewer and approver for all security changes and system enhancements for the NFL global instance
Ensure proper adherence to NFL system lifecycle governance by all NFL stakeholders
Design, oversee and approve the build of additional integrations with third party applications requiring finance or HR owned data
Own knowledge of the interrelation of Finance and HR shared configuration for application wide functionality of areas including banks, locations, and employee set-up for impact on transactional processing and workflow approvals
Maintain the partnership with external managed service resources to ensure adherence to service level agreements and timely resolution of tickets. Partner with managed service leadership to accurately scale resources as based on NFL ticket volume and assist in prioritization of tasks
Build and maintain People and Financial system architecture diagrams for all overall NFL ecosystem
Partner with NFL IT Business Relationship Management team to determine HR and Financial systems project prioritization
Build strategic relationships with all vendor account teams and serve as escalation point for all service requests and interactions with product teams
Support executive dashboards, owned and defined by NFL business stakeholders, to ensure NFL leadership has timely access to data
Audit quarterly upgrade processes performed by HRIS Technical Specialist and Financials Team Lead, including project plans and test results, to ensure adherence to NFL governance processes and validate new functionality achieves business goals
Serve as lead on all information security and internal application audits
Serve as point of contact for NFL Legal for all historical access requests and provide relevant data
Support HRIS Technical Specialist and Financials Team Lead on driving process improvements within the HR Centers of Excellence and Finance Team Leads, focusing on automating data controls, reporting, and simplifying current processes
Support team members on reporting requests requiring SQL and BI Publisher skills and overall application data structure
Develop, coach, and motivate employees
Foster and maintain successful, productive working relationships with NFL system business partner stakeholders (finance / payroll, information security, information technology, and vendors / consultants)
Assist in Level 3 Support for all HCM and Financial modules and associated integrations with varying applications including Kronos, MediaPulse, ServiceNow, Concur, Blackline and other external vendor system
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience working with Oracle Cloud and precursor HR and Financial systems
Experience with Oracle Cloud Integration (OCI) or other Middleware
Experience operating in Oracle global instance and working with Oracle account management team on escalation of service requests, product roadmaps and partnering with Oracle SMEs / Product Management team members
Experience with Oracle HCM modules including Cloud Recruiting, Compensation, Talent Management
Experience with Oracle Financials modules including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Procure to Pay, Contract Management, Risk Management
Management and supervisory experience in a dynamic environment
Experience with managing and partnering with third party managed services team and account leads and building and maintaining strategic vendor relationships
Implementation and deep support experience with Oracle Cloud, HCM, Financials, EDMC and PaaS
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to think strategically and determine overall impact of all application changes in global Oracle instance and collaborate with key stakeholders within Finance and HR for application changes
Knowledge of data privacy issues, laws and regulations associated with HR and Financial operations
Knowledge of application workflow and security roles and attributes
Experience with SQL and BI Publisher
Willingness to learn overall NFL HR and Financial application ecosystem, including ancillary system that integrate into Oracle, including Kronos, MediaPulse (production accounting application), Concur, and ServiceNow
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Oracle Analytics (Fusion Analytics Warehouse) for HCM and Financials
Experience with Kronos Time, Absence, Attestations, Scheduling and MediaPulse

Salary / Pay Range

Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
Terms / Expected Hours of Work
NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.
