The NFL Media Strategy & Business Development (“BD”) department oversees the strategy, distribution, and licensing of NFL content across all media platforms. Its core mandate is to grow the business of the National Football League by distributing content in a manner that reaches and engages both new and existing fans, increases revenue for the business, and creates long-term strategic value for the 32 member clubs. The group’s work includes market and competitive analysis, new business development, business and rights valuation, deal negotiation, go-to-market process management, and ongoing execution.

Role Overview

The Coordinator of Digital Media Business Development will assist in managing a portfolio of existing partnerships as well as help identify and pursue new opportunities to drive value for the NFL on digital media and video streaming platforms.

This entry-level role is perfect for a self-starter who can combine solid communication and analytical skills with a desire to build a career at the intersection of sports, media, and entertainment.

Responsibilities include producing presentations and analyses for executives and external partners, scheduling and participating in regular meetings with business partners and internal stakeholders, tracking and reporting on relevant industry news, and thoughtfully managing up to communicate updates and drive business goals.


  • Oversee day-to-day activity with current partners to ensure contractual obligations are met and all parties are relationships are mutually successful

    • Support existing NFL digital media partnerships across major technology platforms including Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, and TikTok

    • Support strategic projects that drive growth of the owned and operated assets of the NFL

  • Play a meaningful role in all aspects of NFL media partnerships, from working with large-scale existing partners to proactively identifying potential new business partners

  • Conduct financial analyses and proposals for new business opportunities

  • Support Vice President and Director in maintaining budgets and P&L accountability for group

  • Build strong working relationships with external partners and internal cross-functional groups (e.g., Marketing, Legal, Finance, Sales, Sponsorship, etc.)

  • Communicate market and deal updates to senior executives and team ownership

  • Create and participate in strategic presentations to senior executives inside and outside the organization

  • Contribute to positive group culture to foster high performance, efficient processes, and ongoing professional development

Required Qualifications

  • Deep interest in digital media industry, especially streaming video and social media platforms

  • Active consumer of digital media content and active fan of spectator sports with an ability to relate to the user experience of sports fans and visitors to NFL Media properties

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate details

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to efficiently produce written materials in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Attention to detail, especially when multi-tasking across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Confident personal style that can persuade and motivate others to be responsive in order to accomplish corporate goals

  • Unwavering commitment to honest and ethical business interactions

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4-year degree or equivalent education

  • Zero to 3 years of work experience in a business environment with a focus on fast-paced, strategic work

  • Experience in financial analysis and financial modeling a plus (internship and coursework experience ok)
