Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall governance, delivery, and value realization for multiple strategic initiatives across the department.

  • Ensure projects within the program are aligned to business objectives, prioritized, properly staffed, and resourced to ensure delivery of expected business outcomes.

  • Develop program management procedures to monitor, track, measure, and report projects ensuring initiatives align with and meet strategic and financial objectives.

  • Work with customers, vendors, and program teams to define project plans, schedules, scope, and manage cross-team/dept. dependencies.

  • Establish escalation procedures, track and manage program risks and help remove blockers from teams to resolve issues.

  • Develop communication plans and reporting procedures in support of actively informing stakeholders of project activities, status, and key decisions managing stakeholder expectations.

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, partners, and team members establishing trust and respect and create high performing teams.

  • Foster a culture of transparency and inclusion providing visibility into the progress and status of initiatives within the program.

  • Ensure agile methods are applied in a flexible/hybrid manner that includes traditional project management practices.

  • Facilitate getting the work done practicing servant leadership and encouraging collaboration, experimentation, decision making, and conflict resolution.

  • Drive business transformation activities in support of evolving work processes to further staff development and operational efficiencies across the program.

  • Embrace the agile mindset, advocate and champion Agile Ways of Working promoting agile and lean principles through doing, teaching, and coaching.

  • Collaborate with the PMO team on continuous improvement initiatives including work intake, demand and capacity management, ways of working, program governance, and tooling.

  • Provide creative solutions to change management challenges like resistance, people and staffing constraints, and competing priorities.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • 8+ years of experience as a program/project manager managing multiple teams simultaneously.

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification preferred.

  • Experience with agile frameworks including scrum, Kanban, SAFe and understanding what's fit for purpose.

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence; Jira administration is a plus.

  • Detail oriented with the ability to thrive in fast paced, ambiguous environments where priorities are constantly evolving as the business grows and adapts globally.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, without losing sight of the highest priority items.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding emotional intelligence.
