Position Summary: This position is part of the NBA Social & Digital Content team which focuses on creating, distributing, and publishing content to the NBA's social and digital platforms and its many domestic and international partners throughout the world. As the demand for content on the NBA's social platforms continues to grow, this is your opportunity to grow with us in a fast-paced, innovative and collaborative environment, reaching social followers around the world. This is a 10-month project employee position. The ideal candidate understands sports graphic design. One who knows all the latest design trends and how to create story driven content for each social platform. In addition, this candidate has their finger on the pulse of the NBA and spends their free time immersed in hoops culture. The ideal candidate is consistent in organizing files, naming their layers, and working with smart objects.
Major Responsibility:
Design graphics content focused on daily, nightly and real-time storylines around the game as well as league priorities for the NBA's social and digital platforms
Actively participate in brainstorming and content planning of graphics for the NBA's social and digital platforms
Ensure that projects are aligned with the NBA brand's look and feel across social and digital platforms and become an expert on league and team logo and style guide requirements
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Knowledgeable and passionate about the NBA and its players, coaches and teams
Fluent in the Adobe Creative Cloud Design Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator
Basic knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok and GIPHY and how the NBA uses each
Ability to work on deadline and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach
Excellent organization and project management skills
Great communication skills and ability to listen to and implement feedback
Must be a team player who can work collaboratively and implement feedback from multiple departments
Willingness to work a flexible schedule as this position may include day shifts, night shifts, weekend shifts and holiday shifts based on the NBA calendar
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field preferred
Salary:
$1,153.85 per week
