Position Summary
The Broadcast Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the Broadcasting Content Management group. This will include writing detailed recap reports for nationally televised games, scribing content reports for a multitude of sports productions, monitoring broadcasts from each NBA content platform and contributing to best practices projects that drive to enhance the level of NBA broadcast content.
Major Responsibilities
Serve as the nightly liaison in the Broadcasting Operations Center for all real-time production, programming, operations, and content updates
Write detailed telecast recap reports for national TV games
Evaluate a diverse variety of broadcast productions both within sports and outside the sports landscape
Develop innovative ideas for NBA broadcast content projects
Review and analyze local NBA/WNBA/G League broadcasts for "best practices"
Work with the NBA’s broadcast partners on a variety of projects, including event production, best practices, and ancillary programming content
Required Experience/Knowledge
Excellent knowledge of NBA, WNBA, NBA G-League, and NBA 2K (Players, coaches, and teams)
Experience in broadcasting/production/programming industry
Strong writing skills
Exemplary communication skills
Microsoft Office expertise
Education
Bachelor’s degree required
