Position is based in Braselton, Georgia at the IMSA Logistics facility which is located on the grounds of Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
Responsibilities include developing, communicating, and oversight of the responsibilities, tasks, and scheduling of the IMSA Logistics team, specifically at-track while at events, and serving as the primary day-to-day contact to the team while at-track.
In addition, position would be responsible for at-track event set-up and pack-up including loading and unloading of trucks/trailers as well as setting up and breaking down awnings, tech equipment and other related items and equipment.
Position would be responsible for pre-event and post-event fleet preparation, including but not limited to oversight of transporter inventories, packing, unpacking, organization, maintenance as well as coordination of record keeping and DOT compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following and not limited to.
Developing, communicating, and management of team responsibilities, tasks, and scheduling at-track.
Serving as the primary day-to-day contact as it relates to the IMSA Logistics team while at-track.
Responsible for constructing, scheduling, and tracking of team travel.
Oversight and execution of standalone IMSA single make series events.
Preparation of fleet (i.e., tractors, trailers, safety vehicles, etc.) prior to and after event movements.
Facility (Logistics), fleet and event equipment organization, inventories, maintenance, cleaning, and repairs.
Responsible for the upkeep of records, fleet accounts, trip reports, tax filings and DOT compliance for fleet assets as well as transport drivers.
Truck and trailer loading and unloading; setting up and breaking down of awnings, tech equipment and any equipment as needed.
Communicate and establish working relationships with team/industry stakeholders, particularly as they relate to the responsibilities and execution of IMSA Logistics functions.
Collaborate with department leadership in financial budgeting and forecasting.
Oversight of the team’s company credit card reconciliation process.
Coordination, and at times management of the department’s projects and implementation of new procedures to enhance cost savings, efficiencies, and effectiveness.
Operation for forklifts and other supporting equipment.
Ability to fabricate (build and repair).
Contributing to departmental planning and strategy.
Provide guidance and support to other departments/groups as warranted at-track.
Other duties as assigned.
Approximate travel required: 65% including weekends.
While this position does not currently have any direct reports, the position will provide oversight, guidance, and direction to various IMSA full-time, IMSA part-time and contracted employees as well as at-track/venue staff.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Proficient on Company provided hardware and software.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A is not required for this position but is a plus.
