The Street Team Coordinator will work alongside the Sr. Director, Marketing and Marketing Coordinator to plan and execute all grassroots programming and activations to promote the all-new Chicago Street Course race weekend, July 1-2.
Note - This is a seasonal position for the Chicago Street Course event.
Duties:
In conjunction with Marketing team, manage the logistics and operations of in-market event functions including layout, collateral, prize management, prospecting, data management and impact.
Manage the Chicago Street Race Promo Car, Simulator & Trophy program, planning the appearance schedule, coordinating event logistics, developing a prospect conversion plan, maintaining relationships with event contacts and delivering a positive experience for fans and partners
Assist with planning as needed including booking entertainment, securing décor, handling contracts & COIs, coordinating schedules and managing any other needs.
Maintains inventory logs of prizes, collateral and support items needed.
Support in the planning and execution of race weekend programming
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Sports marketing or event management experience a significant plus
Self-starter who takes initiative and is able to take a project from start to finish
Strong ability to think strategically, creatively and quickly
Detail-oriented and organized with outstanding communication skills
Ability to work through on-site event logistics and think operationally is a must
True team player and collaborator
Ability to coordinate and deliver multiple projects at once within strict deadlines
Must be able to work extended hours and event weekends
Valid driver’s license
Desire and ability to create and champion a vision
Strong collaboration skills are critical
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
