SUMMARY

The Manager, Marketing Strategy is responsible for leading the execution of activation tactics, throughout the season, in support of the marketing campaigns driving fan engagement and attracting new fans. The Manager works with internal partners to generate ideas and provide oversight on marketing plans for industry partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, as part of the Marketing Strategy team, integrated marketing strategies intended to align the company and the industry on marketing campaigns, messaging and promotions in order to drive fan engagement and attract new fans.

  • Manage the strategy, planning, and coordination of marketing campaigns; partner with internal stakeholders, including Content, Partnership Marketing, Communications, and leadership, to allow for a fully integrated campaign.

  • Oversee creation of marketing assets, including creative and toolkits, in order to support industry activation and online content.

  • Develop, in collaboration with Brand Marketing teammates, marketing strategy and execution plans, partnering with internal business units and external partners/agencies to live out plans for creative and media.

  • Develop, in partnership with Content and Creative Design teams, promotional creative assets supporting consumer messaging and engagement efforts.

  • Develop cohesive presentation documents that will allow the industry to support marketing activations and allow for integration into the campaigns.

  • Maximize cross-marketing opportunities and support for NASCAR's national marketing programs.

  • Provide event and ancillary support for Brand and Media teams as needed.

  • Track and report program metrics including distribution KPIs that support business priorities.

  • Support budget management and tracking.

  • Travel: 15% including some weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four (4) year college or university

  • Five (5) years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Proficient on company provided hardware and software. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Exceptional team and interpersonal skills.

  • Superior follow-through with a high-level of accountability for assigned tasks.

  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Self-motivated, positive attitude and strong understanding of marketing principles.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
