Our Digital team is made up of passionate story tellers driven to deliver and connect our fan base to the players, coaches and staff in detailed, fun, original and engaging ways. Our talented staff blends moving images and sounds to emotionally invest the fanbase into the team and our brand through the content we create. We have a vision of marketing that puts service at the heart of everything we do, both on and off the ice, and our Producer/Editor plays a key role in bringing that vision to life.

This Video Producer/Editor role will focus on Game Presentation and be responsible for producing and creating video content associated with all aspects of the Minnesota Wild in-game experience, as well as other areas of the brand. The main purpose of this position is to bring a creativity and fresh approach to enhance the fan experience.

As our Video Producer/Editor, YOU WILL:

  • Capture and Edit Video Footage. You will produce, shoot and edit multiple video productions & graphic elements for in-arena to create memorable and entertaining content. You will work with the Digital Team to conceptualize and execute new ideas from existing and new footage to target specific audiences, and multi-platform use when necessary while applying consistent Minnesota Wild branding principles to all videos, elements and creative goods. 

  • Think outside the box. Consistently conceptualize, create and execute new elements to enhance Minnesota Wild game presentation.  Express creativity with an ability to learn new ideas and concepts, showing a willingness to learn and adapt to changing environments.

  • Inspire Organization. As a seasoned producer you conceptualize exclusive, compelling and relevant ideas that motivate the team. Planning, scheduling, and managing production calendars across numerous projects happens seamlessly while you also focus on script writing, prop coordination and location details. You will help build, log and maintain a digital library. You will learn and understand the operations and set up of Xcel Energy Center A/V Control Room and servers/file share systems, while assisting with the gathering/production/loading of visual assets on game days.

  • Deliver on the tightest of deadlines. Bringing creativity to the video production process under tight deadlines is a balancing act you excel at. Through time management, clear prioritization, and relentless stamina, you meet any given deadline. You have the ability and flexibility to shoot & edit breaking news as it pertains to the NHL, Minnesota Wild and surrounding entities to be used in-arena and across other platforms.

YOU ARE A: 

  • Passionate Storyteller. While creating content for the Wild “State of Hockey” brand, you will create and manage informative and entertaining video content, ensuring consistency and continuity with all Wild brand guidelines You can craft a brand or product story that will engage audiences on an emotional level. Supreme command of written, visual, and even non-verbal communication comes easily to you. Beyond customer reach, you must also be able to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.

  • Professional Producer. You know how to plan, create story boards & pitch ideas that are within budget & on-time. You are an expert at video editing and camera technology with a strong understanding of post-production color correction and balancing. The ability to step in and run multi-format video cameras, with a keen eye for capturing video with a sense to light subject(s) and complete audio complement excites you. Adobe product experience (After Effect, Premiere Pro and Photoshop) is a must. 

  • Adaptable Problem Solver. You’ll face something new every day. Whether it’s a last-minute sponsorship or triaging a team development in real time, you will constantly be faced with novel challenges and new trends, all while keeping daily production tasks afloat. To stay on top, you must be willing to express your creativity while adapting to changing environments.

  • Hockey Enthusiast. You chase pucks in your free time and understand the minutia of the game, which you’ll bring to your creative production process. In order to engage fans, you understand you’ll need a strong grasp of the NHL as a whole with an emphasis on a passion for our Wild players.

  • Work schedule includes extended hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays
