The primary purpose of this part-time position is to explore the sports industry by getting hands-on exposure from experienced full-time staff members. You will be assisting with game day operations and potential in-season events.

As a Promotions Crew Member, YOU:

  • Take pride in entertaining our fans. Providing a memorable, entertaining experience for our fans, regardless of the score, is what keeps them coming back. Are you interested in creating those memories by executing a game plan that ensures a first-class entertainment experience? Working with the Manager of Game Operations and the rest of our game presentation team, you will contribute to the best show in the AHL.

  • Brand Ambassador. You constantly engage eventgoers out in the community, welcoming conversations with current and prospective fans regardless of age. You inform fans on all things Iowa Wild including ticket packages, player news, upcoming events, and more! For any questions you are uncertain of, you are relentless in your quest to get the answer quickly by asking questions to those around you and your leader.

  • Are a team player. Every member of the Iowa Wild staff wears many hats, and you love collecting hats. You may find yourself instructing kids on how to hold a hockey stick during a street hockey event, selling season tickets to a prospective fan, or becoming our mascot, Crash himself, while attending a charity walk event. The experience you can gain depends on how much you want to learn!

With your assistance, the Wild organization will continue to leave a positive mark on those they cross paths with, whether virtually, or in person at a variety of events. Your hard work fulfilling donation requests and attending events will better connect the organization with community leaders and grow the relationship between the team and its biggest supporters!

  • Cultural Centerpiece. Your interaction with our employees, fans and community is constant. Day or night, weekday or weekend, connections matter. People see you as a supportive resource and a critical part of our team and the Iowa Wild’s culture and brand. You thrive on interactions within our community, sharing our customer benefit programs and promoting the sport of hockey. You present the best version of yourself and our brand, both on and off the ice. Approaching this job requires the time, flexibility, and willingness to communicate, collaborate, and understand that the different gears of our organization work together as one to produce results. Early weekend mornings at the farmer’s markets and late Saturday nights at festivals and fairs will become part of your routine.

THE FINE PRINT:

  • Ability to skate at a proficient level.

  • Reliable transportation to transport event set up and materials is required.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

  • In accordance with the ADA the physical requirements for this role include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc. Should an accommodation be requested MSE will evaluate the request and provide reasonable accommodation under accordance of the ADA.
