The Foundation Programs Manager will oversee all strategic planning and implementation for the programmatic activities dedicated to achieving the Foundation’s mission. They will manage the staff, vendors, and operators responsible for executing the Foundation’s program work. An emphasis will be placed on impact and evaluating program efficacy. This position is an integral role in the operations of the Minnesota Vikings Foundation ensuring success and stewardship both now and into the future.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead strategic planning to develop effective Foundation programming addressing focus areas of youth health and education.

  • Manage all staff, vendors, and outside operators responsible for the execution and delivery of Foundation programming.

  • Be a subject matter and policy expert within the Minnesota community on current challenges and opportunity related to youth health and education.

  • Lead all Foundation efforts around the continued development of Foundation program’s including branding, partnerships, operations, vendor relationships, finances, impact reporting, and mission work.

  • Build and enlist relationships with community and academic leaders to ensure that programming stays on the cutting edge of industry trends and standards.

  • Enlist support from the Vikings public relations team and the Vikings Entertainment Network to tell the story of the Minnesota Vikings Foundation programming and outreach efforts.

  • Support ideation and execution of Foundation specific social/digital content.

  • Foster collaboration with the Vikings graphic design team around brand identity and project support for Minnesota Vikings Foundation programs.

  • Collaborate with the Vikings corporate partnership team to solicit corporate support and help build partnerships on Minnesota Vikings Foundation programs.

  • Manage corporate partner relationships associated directly with Foundation programs and mission work.

  • Oversee the planning and implementation of all impact measurement and data collection systems to track philanthropic outcomes of Foundation programming.

  • Regularly report programming impacts to Foundation Board of Directors, Advisory Board, and other affiliated Foundation stakeholders.

  • Manage all budgets and resources dedicated to the execution of Minnesota Vikings Foundation programming.

  • Build relationships with schools, sponsors, communities, and non-profit partners to facilitate community collaboration and effective mission work.

  • Manage Foundation game day activations that are associated with Foundation programming.

  • Collaborate with Foundation Development Manager on all major Foundation events, Vikings game days, fundraisers, stewardship opportunities, and donor communication plans.

  • Support other departmental projects relating to community engagement, philanthropy and Vikings Legends as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of three years of experience working on community or non-profit programming with an emphasis on metric focused impact around the areas of youth health and education.

  • Experience managing a staff of part-time workers and vendors while unifying them towards a common mission and goals

  • Minimum of a four-year degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Sports Management, Non-Profit Management, Social Work, or other closely related fields; or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of community programs, organizations and methodology to develop engaging and sustaining community outreach.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • High character, strong work ethic, a commitment to diversity, and a desire to work as part of a driven team.

  • Ability to take ownership of projects and follow through to completion.

  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products.

  • Travel locally and regionally will be required for the implementation of community activities, events, fundraising, and programming

  • Maintaining a flexible schedule will be required as programming will typically take place on nights and weekends will having increased hours during the course of the football season.
