Position Summary:
The Minnesota Twins are hiring for a Phoenix, AZ based Professional Scout. This individual will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing professional players, primarily in the Arizona Complex League, Arizona Fall League, and Cactus League, using a combination of live coverage, video, and analytics. The ideal candidate for this position should be creative, curious, team-oriented, and willing to learn and apply both traditional and analytical scouting methods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Write comprehensive player evaluations using a combination of live coverage, video, and analytical data sources.
Coordinator with front office staff to complete targeted player evaluation assignments when necessary.
Synthesize scouting information and analytics to distill player values and pref rankings.
Establish relationships with ACL staff and scouts from other MLB organizations.

Requirements
Preferred Experience and Education:
1 - 2 years of live scouting experience.
Bachelor's degree.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have a strong understanding of baseball.
Ability to interpret and analyze baseball statistics.
Skilled in communicating concepts related to player evaluation.
Strong computer skills with ability to operate MS office.
Knowledge of current industry trends related to scouting, player evaluation, mechanical analysis, and/or technology.
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and meet deadlines.
Must be available to travel frequently and work extended hours and/or weekends.
