Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend game day briefings to receive and share information about specific public safety concerns at Target Field
  • Observe visitors as they walk through a magnetometer looking for alarms indicating the person may have a prohibited object on their possession
  • Monitor your assigned area to assure an orderly flow of incoming visitors
  • Provide a visible, professional, law enforcement presence throughout your area of responsibility
  • Complete in-house reports to document any activity requiring such reports
  • Complete arrest reports and detention forms as required for physical arrests
  • Provide routine patrol throughout the stadium prior to, during, and after baseball games and other events occurring within the stadium
  • Respond to radio calls for service to any location inside or within the immediate vicinity of the stadium in a timely manner
  • Respond to public safety emergencies that could occur at Target Field including active threats, building evacuations, disturbances, fires, or other emergent events
  • Monitor and guard restricted areas for unauthorized visitors
  • Interact with guests/employees in a courteous manner
  • Understands and displays the values of the Minnesota Twins organization in the performance of their duties at Target Field
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be an active, licensed Minneapolis Police Officer in good standing
  • Must not be under current investigation for criminal or major policy infractions, or under suspension or on leave while under investigation
  • Ability to physically confront, restrain, and/or arrest unruly individuals
  • Ability to communicate effectively

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time
  • Ability to walk stairs repeatedly during shift
  • Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility
  • Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
