Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Attend game day briefings to receive and share information about specific public safety concerns at Target Field
- Observe visitors as they walk through a magnetometer looking for alarms indicating the person may have a prohibited object on their possession
- Monitor your assigned area to assure an orderly flow of incoming visitors
- Provide a visible, professional, law enforcement presence throughout your area of responsibility
- Complete in-house reports to document any activity requiring such reports
- Complete arrest reports and detention forms as required for physical arrests
- Provide routine patrol throughout the stadium prior to, during, and after baseball games and other events occurring within the stadium
- Respond to radio calls for service to any location inside or within the immediate vicinity of the stadium in a timely manner
- Respond to public safety emergencies that could occur at Target Field including active threats, building evacuations, disturbances, fires, or other emergent events
- Monitor and guard restricted areas for unauthorized visitors
- Interact with guests/employees in a courteous manner
- Understands and displays the values of the Minnesota Twins organization in the performance of their duties at Target Field
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be an active, licensed Minneapolis Police Officer in good standing
- Must not be under current investigation for criminal or major policy infractions, or under suspension or on leave while under investigation
- Ability to physically confront, restrain, and/or arrest unruly individuals
- Ability to communicate effectively
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time
- Ability to walk stairs repeatedly during shift
- Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility
- Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
- Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
