Position Summary:

The Motion Capture Operator is responsible for running Motion Capture systems at minor league venues. Also, they may be asked to assist with the operation of other data collection systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Responsible for setting up rosters and tagging information in Kinatrax, or other systems.

  • Log information for the entire game, monitoring the system and making changes as they happen (roster changes, defensive substitutions, etc.)

  • Troubleshoot system issues with support, fixing any errors and uploading the game to the database.

  • Maintain system equipment required for tagging.

Requirements

Required Experience and Education:

  • Strong computer skills to operate the system and/or troubleshoot systemic issues.

  • Must have a solid understanding of baseball.

  • Must be able to work nights during the week and weekends associated with home games.

  • Must have strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and strong attention to detail.

  • Must have the ability to communicate well with others.

Preferred Experience and Education:

  • 1 year of Motion Capture (SIMI/Kinatrax) operator experience.

  • Experience working within the college, Major League, or Minor League sports industry.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times.

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

  • Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility.

  • Must be able work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling.

Location's: Twin Cities, Fort Myers, FL and Wichita, KS.
