Position Summary/Objective:

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for onboarding efforts, including leading orientation for all new hires, employee record-keeping, and HR management system maintenance. This individual ensures a welcoming, seamless transition into our workforce. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources, and works closely with the Director of Talent Acquisition to assist with administrative recruiting needs.

What would you do?

  • Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform these essential functions:

  • Manage the pre-employment onboarding process, including pre-employment screenings, providing documents and company policies, coordinating information technology equipment and access, etc.

  • Deliver a seamless first-day onboarding experience to new employees, which includes creating a welcoming workspace, organizing, updating, and facilitating orientation, and facility tours.

  • Manage the HR management (HRMS) system administration, data entry, and maintenance; create end-user guides, facilitate training, and troubleshoot system issues.

  • Assist the Director of Talent Acquisition with part-time employee staffing, including conducting phone screening, scheduling interviews with hiring managers, and sending offer letters.

  • Submit new hire reporting and E-Verify for all new hires.

  • Process and submit monthly invoices.

  • Conduct employee file audits, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Provide customer support to employees on policies, procedures, and HR-related questions.

  • Assist the Human Resources team with miscellaneous projects as assigned.

Proficiencies or equivalent experiences:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong computer skills required (including experience with an HR Management System, Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

  • Ability to adapt under pressure, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions.

  • Ability to promote our company and business objectives as a brand ambassador.

  • Ceridian Dayforce experience preferred.

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of Human Resources and/or Recruiting experience preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility, if any: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Travel: Position may require travel.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. In addition to working office hours staff may be required to work Timberwolves and Lynx games as well as external events including but not limited to: charity and networking events. Work is both sedentary and active in nature. The working environment is generally favorable, and office lighting and temperature are adequate. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena, which includes bleachers/steps as well as moderate noise levels.

Physical Demands

Work is generally sedentary in nature. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment. Staff will occasionally ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff will frequently move boxes of merchandise and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
