Summary The primary responsibility of the Workday HRIS Analyst is to support the Workday platform by configuring, customizing, and governing Workday to support our strategic objectives. This role will respond to tickets, incidents, and requests from end-users in addition to partnering on longer-term and more complex projects. This Analyst will research and implement creative solutions for the continuous improvement and support of Workday functionality. This position will communicate directly and frequently with Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, Finance, IT, and other applicable groups.

  • Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and editing of Business Processes.

  • Ensure that business requirements are being met by developing custom advanced, matrix and composite reports, analytics and dashboards

  • Assist the Manager - Workday Systems in providing timely support and issue resolution of tickets submitted in the JIRA case management tool.

  • Collaborate with and facilitate communication between business partners and end users, leading the work to achieve project goals, drive change and process improvements.

  • Supports the planning and implementation of biannual tenant release, including testing of each module, assisting with creation of employee communication and roll-out.

  • Create test scripts to support testing and introduction of new enhancements and required changes

  • Collaborate with Manager – Workday Systems to manage open tickets with third party partner firm(s). Respond to requests in a positive, timely manner and provide feedback on expected completion dates of break/fix issues and enhancement requests.

  • Create system documentation, training tools, employee presentations, and executive overviews for purposes of educating users and enhancing overall understanding and usage of the system.

  • Establish and maintain appropriate naming conventions and system definitions throughout the system (ex: reporting libraries, custom fields, calculated fields, etc.).

  • Maintain Security set up of the Workday system to ensure access is enabled or limited as appropriate for various domains, roles, and groups.

  • Assist end users with loading, troubleshooting, and validating EIB’s to populate data.

  • Assist with data cleanup, including extraction/load (EIB’s) and data validations as needed.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline Workday system.

  • Perform duties related to Workday HCM and finance/accounting integrations with third party vendors including design, development, and testing.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Workday Certification a plus

  • Workday functional configuration (HCM, Payroll, or Finance) experiences a must.

  • Experience with and understanding of Workday business processes such as hire, termination, change job required

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.

  • Requires strong analytical and technical skills with a good understanding and working knowledge of Human Resources, Payroll, Adaptive Solutions and Finance operations.

  • Must be able to exercise judgment and independently.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Three to five years’ experience in the implementation, development, and/or functional support of technology solutions, in one or more of the following areas: Core HCM, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Compensation, Benefits, Performance Management, Goals, or Reporting / Analytics

  • Experience with building calculated fields in Workday preferred

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

This position is based in Milwaukee and offers hybrid work schedule. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, which may include heat, cold and various forms of precipitation. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Work Hours

Business hours are Monday – Friday 9 am – 5pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings and some holidays.
