Do you want to work for a Championship organization? We have the job for you! The Miami Heat Store Warehouse, located in Doral, Florida, is seeking to hire a Retail Facilities Assistant! We are looking for a flexible, hardworking, self-motivated, and knowledgeable facilities coordinator to ensure an efficient working environment in our building. This role would be reporting to the facilities manager to assist in regular building safety and security inspections, maintaining our building's equipment and supervising repairs when the manager is offsite. The ideal candidate should have years of experience working at a warehouse or any facility and promote an efficient and safe environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspects facilities, machinery, HVAC equipment, and systems to verify safety, maintenance, conditions, functions, and quality. Daily walkthroughs and reporting any issues to the Facility Manager.

  • Following up on building and equipment maintenance schedules.

  • Reporting to the Facilities Manager regularly.

  • Assisting with building cleanliness.

  • Monitor activities outside the building, such as accurate waste disposal and recycling.

  • Fix minor malfunctions in office equipment. Refilling supplies as needed.

  • Ensuring continued compliance with all health and safety regulations.

  • Assisting in desking arrangements, facilitating moves, and space utilization.

  • Checking in guests and visitors when needed.

  • Keep employee directories.

  • Assisting in Emergency action planning and putting up shutters for hurricanes.

  • Keep track of work order requests.

  • Research IoT devices based on data collection needs.

  • Using aggregated data to understand the workplace better.

  • Assist our drivers in shipping & receiving.

  • Assisting in palletizing finished goods for shipment

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D and at least one year of full-time experience at a facility or warehouse.

  • Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance and repair concepts required. Intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Office programs). Clean driving record and criminal background history.

  • Good judgment and the ability to think quickly during emergencies.

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs.

  • Any forklift equipment experience.
