The Miami HEAT and FTX Arena are hiring for an Event Services Intern to assist the Event Services Department with the overall event coordination of Concerts, Family Shows, Miami HEAT Games and small scaled events such as meetings, trainings, Court of Dreams, rehearsals etc.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist Senior Event Manager and Event Managers with reviewing event booking forms and prepping Event Worksheets as assigned by Director of Event Services.

  • Assist department in creating event estimates & final event invoices for small scale events as assigned such as a Court of Dreams.

  • Assist Event Managers with coordinating VIP Parties, Event Sponsorship Activations, Radio Station placement and concourse set-up.

  • Facilitate Dressing Room Coordination between the building and show when assigned.

  • Create event specific signage for all events

  • Conduct building walk-throughs for all building events.

  • Daily Administrative duties and projects as assigned.

Must be enrolled in a college or university in an Event Management or Sports Management program or graduated in the last 6 months in a related program. Must be available for the duration of the yearlong internship from January 2023 – December 2023 to be considered. Internship requires irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Very organized and detail-oriented. Able to meet tight deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced, fluid environment while balancing multiple tasks at once. Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previous experience working in a sports and/or live event venue preferred. AutoCAD Preferred but not required.
