Do you want to work for a Championship organization? We have the job for you! The Miami HEAT Strategy & Data Analytics team is seeking to hire a Data Analyst! We are looking for a low ego, coachable, tenacious individual with a good work ethic that’s looking for personal growth. This position is responsible for managing report development within the visualization platform by providing analysis regarding pricing, sales, renewals, customer activities, and general forecasting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with various interpersonal entities/key partners to understand business needs, ensuring that BI solutions are a fit to the evolving needs of the organization.

  2. Apply sophisticated analytic techniques such as machine learning, data mining and statistical modeling to develop and implement mathematical models and algorithms in production environments.

  3. Provide ad-hoc analysis that improves decision-making and business performance.

  4. Build and automate data flows, data models, reports and dashboards.

  5. Participate and contribute in data warehouse architecture design sessions.

  6. Maintain reports for performance and accuracy.

  7. Research and resolve data anomalies and validate datasets.

  8. Provide support to 601 Analytics clients during events, including evening and weekend hours.

  9. Assist in all support communications with 601 Analytics clients.

  10. Lead 601 Analytics client requirements-gathering sessions, data literacy and standard processes training sessions.

Qualifications:

Desired Qualifications:

Good knowledge of Ticketmaster Archtics, Tickets.com, SeatGeek, and/or AXS ticketing systems. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SQL. Comfort with statistics, mathematics, and economic formulas. Ability to work on tight timelines acknowledging shifting work priorities. Experience with sports or live entertainment industry.

Education and/or Experience

Advanced degree in statistics, economics, finance, mathematics, engineering, or other quantitative field. 3+ years of relevant experience and track record of demonstrating data to drive significant business impact, with solid grasp of the NBA / sports entertainment industry. Experience with data visualization and BI tools (Tableau and Power BI preferred).
